Shaping heat network regulation for housing

29 November 2024

During this webinar we heard from Ofgem and Chirpy Heat about what housing associations with heat networks will need to do to prepare for the new regulations and how to influence the regulatory regime through the consultations.

A new heat network regulatory regime, managed by Ofgem will start in 2025. Ofgem and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero are currently consulting on the details of how the regulations will operate. 66% of existing heat networks are owned or managed by social landlords and so it is important our sector’s voice is heard as the regulations are developed.
